Be Passionate About Your Craft

I've always been interested in working with wood and building things and working with my hands. The time came to make a shift in my career. For most of my life I had been sitting behind a desk. When the mortgage industry began to shake in 2008 it came time to make a career change. I decided to pursue my passion in woodworking and do something more physical and challenging that I thoroughly enjoy as a career path. I went to SAIT to become a Carpenter. For most of my life I built projects for other people. Now came the time I needed the written credentials.

Deck Projects

Due to the economy, when I graduated as a Carpenter Apprentice in 2009 jobs were very few. Whiile unemployed I kept busy by building a deck for each of my friends and their families. Both decks were completey different. The first deck was built for a trailer at a campsite. The second deck was for a family business called 'The Pioneer' Bed & Breakfast.
